This Blog is dedicated to the students on the BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering course at Bradford College. The idea behind the Blog is to record the work, discussions, ideas and manufacturing techniques that are used to make a Toylander vehicle. Most of the detailed parts have been supplied by Richard at Real Life Toys, Toylander. Other parts will be made by students in the workshop at college. Details will be updated so students can comment & get feedback on work.
Welcome
Hi, this blog is part of the BTEC students project assignment for Bradford College. Please feel free to join in and comment on how we are doing - any suggestions on design, materials, modifications, improvements etc.
Very good and detailed images there Steve, these images give more of a visual aspect of the toylander so you can get rough of ideas of where to put everything together. These images have definatly helped me in deciding about the placement of rack and pinion idea i came up with .. i realised that maybe space will be an issue and may alter the shape of the car.
ReplyDeleteThanks Danny, If you need me to print some off for you don't forget to either send me an e.mail or see me after class with what you need for your project. Have you looked at either the Quad or Go-Kart steering mechanism to see if it's any smaller.
